Rochester New York FC recently announced the initial roster moves ahead of the 2023 season. Rochester released eight players, transferred one out, and sees two players return to their home clubs. In all, Rochester is losing a total of 9,204 minutes across all competitions, in addition to 94 starts. Most notably Rochester will need to replace keeper Caíque who started in all 25 MLSNP games. The other key losses for Rochester are center-back Geraldo Lopez (25 starts), center-back Gustavo Rissi (13 starts in 13 games), and forward Will Inalien (14 starts).
