One for the fututre: Jamaican starlet signs with RNYFC!

Jamaican Premier League forward Warner Brown has signed with Rochester New York FC following a successful trial! The 19-year-old forward played in 15 matches this past season with Tivoli Gardens F.C, while scoring 5 goals! Brown started the season out well before being hindered by a nagging ankle injury. Now fully recovered, he now takes his talents to Rochester! Brown spent his youth playing at the prestigious St Andrew Technical High School in Kingston, Jamaica.

The young forward brings a boatload of untapped potential, something that Head Coach Bruno Baltazar is very excited about! Here is what Coach Bruno Baltazar had to say about the signing,

“Warner is a young talented striker, that plays really well back to the goal and links up the game with quality. He’s also a really instinctive striker capable of finding and creating spaces to score goals. He still has a lot to develop but we’re excited to have him with us and help him in his development”- Coach Baltazar. He added that, “We have informations that Warner is a humble and hard working player but obviously he needs time to adapt to our very specific style of play, to our game tempo and to our offensive and defensive principles. I’m pretty sure that he will be an important player for the club in a near future, but having in mind that his learning process needs time. We’ll help in his adaptation on and off the field so he can perform as soon as possible at this best level.” - Coach Bruno Baltazar

Digesting this bit, this signing seems to be one for the future with Rochester looking more towards the next season or two, as Warner will provide depth up top where Will Inalien and Gibran Rayo have split the majority of the time this season. While Brown isn't expected to have much of role this season, he will add a new wrinkle to the team, especially in practice. Watch the newest Rhino's best moments down below!
